I like it but it can still be improved...
Nothing wrong so far with what is there but I have several recommendations to improve the app:
- Provide capability to capture repair & maintenance tasks that were performed on the equipment, with date, who performed maintenance and the cost. It would be helpful to be able to pull a report for a piece of equipment and see all repairs that were performed and what total costs you have had to spend on that equipment. For instance, I have a refrigerator that has been a real pain and Ive had so many repairs on it that its a real exercise to reconstruct the history. The fridge itself is unique and was quite expensive so its worth it to track the costs and discuss the history with the provider when he performs repairs.
- Provide capability to track multiple warranties on various parts in one equipment record. For instance, I have an air conditioner compressor that was purchased in 2005 and it had an overall warranty. In 2012 a new motor was installed and it has a 5 year warranty. In 2013 a capacitor was replaced and it has a 2 year warranty. My suggestion is to add a description and an effective date to each warranty record. Right now the warranty report has no real meaning as it is driven solely from the original purchase date of the equipment (as opposed to the parts)
- Provide capability to add a second home or business. The "home" page appears to be single
