3.3 Update - The interface is clean and gorgeous, and the app continues to work exactly as I’d like it to. The redesigned phone app also makes adding photos (and now items!) extremely simple, even if you’re not on your network. If you need an inventory app, this is the one.

3.2.2 Update - I bought this under the last OS, upgraded to Yosemite, and have continued working with no problems at all. I’m sorry people are having trouble, but I’ve found the developer to be extremely responsive - I hope you talked to them and got their help before just trashing the app.

In the Spring I spent about a week doing a full inventory of our home, something I’ve tried in the past with little success. I thought it was going to take me much longer than it did! The application is extremely intuitive, and the Photo Remote for the iPhone made documenting EVERYTHING a snap. This is a great tool. I’d looked at several others, but am very glad I went with Home Inventory.

I’ve backed the inventory (and reports) up to a removable drive, a zip drive in our safe deposit box, and send one to my sister. This has given us much more peace of mind, in the event of a disaster, that we will have every bit of documentation we would need for a successful claim.
